This adventure takes place in Emporio, a hidden village in the south of the island with an amazing beauty, but little explored compared to others like Oia or Fira. Emporio is the biggest settlement in Santorini and has the largest local population. During the Venetian rule, it was the traditional trade centre of commerce and one of the five castles on the island; it is a great hidden surprise that has a lot to offer and with the best advantage that it is far away from the tourism wave.
During our tour around the fertile valley of Emporio, we can explore and appreciate among other things: the beautiful cathedral architecture, the medieval castle, the pagan church dating from 3,000 BC, as well as its blue dome and windmills located from south to north. Its architecture and colourful yards are definitely one of the highlights of the town and also it’s one of the most secluded in terms of tourism.
From our tours by foot, this one has the least intensity in terms of the terrain and distance. This adventure has been designed especially for families with young children, for those who want to have an authentic and easy going experience. It is also highly recommended for any lovers of photography. It has exclusive viewpoints from where you can enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views of the island and take unique shots that will remain in your memory forever.
